Inspired by a fellow
Malaysian blogger, fishmeatdie, I decided to reveal some of my favourite
youtube channels which I would watch during bored times. Without further ado,
let’s take a peek into who’s on my list!
1)
clothesencounters
clothesencounters
is one of the first youtube channels which I came into contact with a few years
back, just when watching youtube videos became a trend. I find the creator of
this channel, who is an aspiring Korean American beauty creator, Jenn Im very
inspiring with creative contents to showcase to the public. Her contents range
from fashion lookbooks, daily vlogs to makeup tutorials, most of which include
snippets of her daily routine. I was initially attracted by her voice, which
seemed to make me relax whenever I watched her videos. However it was her
creative videos that made me subscribe to her channel. Personally, I think Jenn
has a unique flair for fashion and a passion for beauty. Her easy going and
humble personality coupled with an individualistic mindset is what makes her
viewers love her, including me. Also, watching her talk in her videos actually
made watching youtube videos a hobby to me, so I highly recommend hopping to
her channel if you want to check her out.
2)
meejmuse
Second on the
list is an Aussie Korean beauty creator who is no stranger in the beauty
community. Her videos, which consists of product reviews and hauls are
interesting to watch during leisure times. Again, I find Youtubers with a
unique voice to be more entertaining and to my liking, so Jen who happens to be
the name of this sweet and pretty beauty creator, also possesses that
particular trait. I find her accent to be quite pleasing to the ears,
especially when she talks about stuff in her videos. Besides reviews, she also
makes footage about makeup tutorials which may be of help to the female
population who are interested in learning the basics of applying makeup. To me,
I find it entertaining and relaxing when I watch people do makeup, which
justifies why watching videos online has become one of my favourite hobbies
when I want to unwind.
3)
blogilates
Blogilates is
another Youtube channel which I follow that showcases POP pilates, which is a
type of workout that is equipment-free. Cassey Ho, who is the face of this
channel, is an experienced pilates instructor. Her motto “Train like a beast.
Look like a beauty” aims at strengthening one’s core without neglecting the
body’s needs and diet. Besides videos where she demonstrates pilates movements,
she also has content which includes a wide range of healthy diet recipes that
are beneficial in aiding the body.
As a person who
is always flooded with assignments and extracurricular activities, I am able to
have some sort of exercise with the aid of these videos without having to travel to the gym or go outside
since it might be a hassle.
4)
sydneytoyou
This is another
favourite channel which I often look forward to whenever there are new videos
posted. The main reason being that this particular Youtuber, aside from posting
the usual makeup tutorials and whatnot, actually has the majority of her
content based on food! Since I am a self- professed food lover, of course this
has to be one of my beloved channels of all time. Since Sydney (name of this
Youtuber) often travels from London to
Korea, where her family lives, subscribers of her channel get to follow her updates
as she vlogs about her trips and journeys both overseas as well as where she
lives, which is London. My favourite part of her videos has got to be when she
has outings with family and friends, since I get to see what she eats! Trust
me, it can be quite addictive to watch another living person consume
scrumptious food.
Another thing to
note is her accent since she is a British resident. I guess I have a thing for
different English accents.
5)
Chill Nation
One of my favourite
music genres has got to be EDM, aka Electronic Dance Music. So, when I got wind
that Youtube has a channel which features various remixes of electro music, of
course I had to sign up for it! Whenever I want to listen to new music, I would
head to this very channel to check out new releases since remixes are quite
normal for electro music. So, if there are any souls whose interests are
similar to mine, please, do yourself a favour and subscribe ASAP.
Alright peeps,
these are just a few on my long list of Youtubers whom I follow. Do comment
about your favourite Youtube channels/Youtubers so I may be able to know more
about it. Thanks for reading!
